30 day challenge – Day 1
Today I’m committing to a 30 day challenge. For 30 consecutive days, I will post something to this blog! This is Day 1.
What is a 30 day challenge? A 30 day challenge is a tool for motivating yourself to try something new, develop a new habit, or make progress toward a goal which is important to you. Essentially, you pick something and do it every day for 30 days. The other important step is to share you challenge. This combination is powerful because:
The idea originally started with a TED talk here.
So why blog for 30 days? I’ve been disappointed in my lack of progress in the blog, so it’s an attempt to push myself harder and get better at it. Hopefully making a public commitment to post daily for 30 days to help me overcome my discomfort and improve the quality of the content create.
I’ve used 30 day challenges in the past to help me get moving and exercise and to start meditating. Strangely enough, this is one challenge where I can cheat 😉 Considering how life interferes and creates convenient excuses, I have written a few posts in advance so that I have a better chance of making it. We will see.
Would a 30 day challenge help you? Would it let you try something new or commit to something you haven’t had luck with in the past? Perhaps just try something fun or take time for yourself each day. If you would like to join me, please reply and share your challenge.
Here is a list of 100 ideas if you want to try it yourself.
